How Will My Order Be Shipped ?
Over 90% of our items ship with the four main carriers: FedEx, UPS, USPS, and DHL.
As soon as your order ships, an email will be send to the email address you provided when you checked out or created an account. This email will include a tracking number. Please use that web site or phone number of the particular carieer to track your order. Mistakes are made by these carriers on occasion, so please contact us if anything seems to be wrong.
As with most online stores, there are four shipment types, any one of which could apply to your order.
These are
1. Small Parcel
2. Truck Freight – Back of Truck
3. Truck Freight – Threshold
4. White Glove
Please see the following descriptions for each.
Small Parcel
Small and/or light items will be shipped via Fedex, UPS, USPS, or DHL. These are fast and work well for most of our items. Some items leave our warehouse same day or next day, and some items, particular custom orders can take 2-3 weeks before we ship them. Each item page explains the time it takes for each item to leave our warehouse.
Once an item leaves the warehouse, it can take between 1 and 6 business for FedEx, UPS, or DHL to deliver it to you. For USPS, it can take between 1 and 10 days. Whenever possible we will ship smaller, lighter items via UPS, FEDEX, DHL or USPS.
We do not instruct the carriers to require your signature for these deliveries, but some delivery drivers will not leave the item on your doorstep without your permission. It is best to leave a note for the delivery driver that explains how you want your package delivered.
Truck Freight – Back of Truck
We do sell some large and heavy items and these can not ship via the above means. When an item is too large or heavy to ship via the normal means, we will enlist a truck carrier for delivery.
Truck carriers will not carrier the product to your door. You must make arrangements to have the item moved from the back of the truck to your home or elsewhere. When shipping by truck, the carrier will contact you prior to delivery and schedule an appointment for delivery.
When you are to receive a delivery by truck, it is important that you carefully inspect the package for damage when you first see the package. If you have concerns about damage, do not reject delivery. Instead, write "Product Damaged" on the delivery sheet for the driver. This will insure that it will be easy for us to resolve the damage.
If you feel you may need help getting a large item from the truck to your home, please be sure to have help available. You may also contact the delivery company and, for a fee to be paid by you, they will assist you in moving the item.
Truck Freight Threshold
This is just like the above, only the delivery company will place the item at your door threshold or loading dock.
White Glove Delivery
With this method, you will be contacted by the shipper prior to arrival of your item and an appointment will be scheduled. Your item will be moved from the truck into your home via two-man delivery and placed in the room of your choice. This service includes carrying the product(s) up two flights of stairs from the building’s threshold (4-15 steps = 1 flight). White glove delivery can take between 1 and 4 weeks.
As with all delivery, is you suspect damage, please write "damaged product" on the delivery receipt retained by the driver.
How long before my order gets to me ?
On the item detail page for each item, we show information stating that "This item will usually ship in XXXX days (or hours).
From that point, it can take between 1 and 10 days to arrive at your location, depending on the shipping type used (see above).
Free Shipping ?
Because we ship from multiple warehouses to customers all over the country, it is quite complex and costly to provide shipping rates for each item we sell.
So, to alleviate those costs, we simply blend a flat shipping cost into each order and no shipping costs are added. Taxes are also not added, unless you are shipping to Missouri, in which case taxes do apply.
International Shipping
We ship only to the 48 contiguous United States.
